We have officially kicked off the campaign season for Tales of Illuminatus! #3 "Opus Chao" :)))

Very excited to share with you what we've come up with and all the moving pieces that have been set in motion. Not sure what everyone's tolerance is these days for being hard sold on whimsy, but I'm coming in hot!

This, along with Steve and Danny's musical accompaniments, was of my original "pie in the sky" ideas for what could be done as part of a multimedia Illuminatus! extravaganza, and here we are, the pie is piping hot and ready to eat, do please enjoy!

These games are deeply rooted in the high school "Introduction to Technology" curriculum I developed and taught for nearly a decade. Special shoutout to Chizolu, the most advanced programming student I ever taught, who quickly outgrew my code.org and scratch.mit.edu lessons, forcing me to figure out woofjs.com just to keep him busy! Rough drafts of these games were made during a virtual after school computer club in the 2020-21 covid lockdown school year. Previously starring a cute little UFO, but for years I had in the back of my mind, what if I plugged in a yellow submarine and a weird little story...

Special mention for Alison Bechdel's latest comic SPENT!
I genuinely think she is the best cartoonist in the world. (She too is inflicted with chronic Joyceanisms, of the Ulyssean variety.)

The little warble she can put on a line that, with perfect subtlety, indicates texture and volume. Fabric reads as fabric, flesh reads as flesh, wood as wood, etc. The emotive hands! Consistently packing eight interesting characters comfortably into a panel! With distinct cool haircuts no less!

There's a "Where's Waldo" double splash at a farmers market is truly astounding.

Always a delight to get to spend time in her beautifully crafted chaosmos :)))
